Mentor coaching

What is mentor coaching?

Mentoring consists of listening to client coaching sessions, and providing feedback and mentoring on the client’s coaching skills with attention to the ICF core competencies.

Coaching consists of coaching the client for purposes of additional learning about the ACC or PCC level of competencies.

You can count on me to be honest and straightforward; asking questions and making observations. The main purpose of our interaction is to mentor you on your coaching skills and presence to prepare you to renew or apply for your ACC or PCC credential with the ICF.

Ways I can work with you

I offer one-on-one mentor coaching sessions in these areas to support you in your certification or renewal.

ACC Renewal

From the International Coaching Federation (ICF):

Coaches applying to renew their ACC credential are required to complete an additional 10 hours of mentor coaching above those hours required for their initial credential.  These hours must be completed in the three years since the initial award of the credential or since the last credential renewal.  The mentor coaching hours must occur over a three-month period or longer.

Of the 10 hours of mentoring, at least 3 hours must be one-on-one.

ACC or PCC Credential

Credentialing candidates on Level 1 and 2 paths must complete 10 hours of mentor coaching prior to submitting their application. The mentor coaching hours must occur over a three-month period or longer.

Of the 10 hours of mentoring, at least 3 hours must be one-one-one.

Pam is a fantastic Mentor Coach. She is easy to connect with, well organized while being flexible and focused. Reviewing the new core competencies and critiquing my recorded coaching sessions helped bring focus back to my coaching. Her observations were given in a manner that was easy to internalize. It was a review I really needed. She got me back in the game!
